BLAISE REUTERSWARD
PLACE VENDÔME
EXHIBITION OPENS MAY 8TH 2025
IN CANSALAS GALLERY & ART HOUSE
NEW VENUE "ES GARATGE"
Why are there no pigeons at Place Vendôme?
This simple, almost absurd observation sparked Blaise Reutersward’s latest body of work — a study that is as much about the everyday as it is about the unspoken layers of human behavior.
“PLACE VENDÔME” is not just a title, it is a question mark, a metaphor, a personal lens through which the artist observes the transformation of masculinity, emotional restraint, and the subtle awkwardness of modern existence.
Through stark aesthetic choices, a monochrome palette, and a certain raw intimacy, Blaise explores how men act, react, and slowly shift in a world that no longer resembles the one they were shaped for.
The exhibition is a study — of people, of emotions, of societal constructs. But Blaise leaves space for interpretation, believing that how others perceive and experience his work is more interesting than his own analysis.
A reflection on reality and artifice, construction and destruction — and perhaps most of all — on the beauty of not fully fitting in.
