ÁNGEL BALDOVINO

"LA LUZ VIENE

DE ARRIBA"

EXHIBITION ON DISPLAY IN

CANSALAS GALLERY & ART HOUSE - ES GARATGE

FROM JUNE 4TH 2026.

“La Luz Viene de Arriba” presents a selection of works by Ángel Baldovino, one of Mallorca’s most singular and poetic painters. Through luminous inner worlds suspended between memory, dreams, spirituality, and imagination, Baldovino transforms reality into emotional and metaphysical landscapes inhabited by floating forms, birds, symbols, and fragments of memory.

Born in Buenos Aires in 1929, Baldovino developed a deeply personal visual language shaped by poetry, silence, and spiritual reflection. Following a near-death experience in 1970, his work evolved beyond visible reality toward more dreamlike and symbolic dimensions. Mediterranean light, music, and ancient symbolic cultures later became recurring sources of inspiration throughout his years in Mallorca.

Cansalas Gallery & Art House in Palma, Mallorca is proud to present "La Luz Viene de Arriba", an exhibition that invites visitors into a contemplative universe where imagination and emotion remain inseparable. At 96 years old, Baldovino continues to paint each morning before dawn, guided by intuition, wonder, and an enduring creative spirit.

For collectors and visitors drawn to poetic contemporary painting, the exhibition offers a rare encounter with an artist whose work transcends narrative and moves quietly between memory, transcendence, and the invisible dimensions of human experience.
