MARIA ISABEL BALLESTER &
ANN WIKSTRÖM MOGLIANI
María Isabel Ballester and Ann Wikström Mogliani meet in a shared artistic language shaped by memory, movement and the human figure. Though their paths differ — Ballester working in sculpture and Mogliani primarily in painting — their practices connect through a deep sensitivity to form and emotional presence.
Ballester, long established in Mallorca, is known for her sculptural figures marked by introspection and physicality. Mogliani, whose work spans oil painting, narrative composition and portraiture, explores identity, femininity and transformation.
Their collaboration in Pas de Deux does not merge their techniques but allows them to echo one another — sculpture and painting moving in quiet dialogue. The works reflect a mutual exploration of body, stillness and gesture, informed by shared intuition rather than shared medium.
Rather than illustrating a theme, their partnership reveals two parallel artistic voices that meet through resonance — each retaining its integrity while opening space for the other.
